There's no better place to shop for cold-weather season than a valley where much of the food is grown just minutes away. Fill your table with seasonal vegetables, fresh baking, flowers, and locally raised meats by exploring the Pemberton Farm Stand Tour, or visiting the Pemberton Farmers Market every Friday until October 16th. It's a true farm-to-table experience that celebrates the region's rich agricultural heritage. September brings an abundance of flowers before the cool weather turns - make sure to stop by Belle Acres, The Flower Wrangler and Happi Life farm to get the last of this year’s blooms for your home.
Pick the Perfect Pumpkin from the Patches
October means pumpkin season, and two local farms offer beautiful fields where you can pick the perfect pumpkin for carving or decorating.
Visit North Arm Farm or The Beer Farmers for a family-friendly day out in the fields. Expect mountain views, family-friendly fun, and plenty of photo opportunities. You can even enjoy a wagon ride at North Arm Farm every Saturday and Sunday in October.
Celebrate Thanksgiving at the North Arm Farm Thanksgiving Market
Held on October 12, the annual Thanksgiving Market brings together local makers, food producers, and bakers for a festive day on the farm. It's the perfect place to pick up handmade gifts, enjoy seasonal treats, and soak up the harvest atmosphere with the family.
Enjoy Oktoberfest at The Beer Farmers
Raise a glass to fall with the Beer Farmers Country Gold Märzen – brewed with our very own Pemberton BC barley. This crisp, malty beer honours the harvest and the tradition of Oktoberfest, which will be celebrating Saturday October 17th at The Beer Farmers.
Savour bratwurst, sauerkraut, and gingerbread soft serve, while enjoying a live Oktoberfest band from 4-6 PM.
Experience the quiet season for an adventure
Horseride through the Pemberton Meadows or up in the Birkenhead Mountains and experience the beauty of Fall before the snow falls. Ride through golden and red foliage, and witness local wildlife feeding in the valley.
For the anglers, Pemberton Fish Finder continues through the Fall journeying the local lakes and rivers for Salmon and Trout. If you’re up for an epic adventure, go in search of the mysterious and prehistoric-looking Sturgeon in the Fraser River.
For thrill-seekers, Coast Range Heli are heli-biking until October 11th this year. Fly above the local glaciers to Hidden Peak where you can then ride down 12km of hero-dirt and specially-designed downhill and enduro track.
