FRIENDS OF THE FARMER · VOL. 01 LONG TABLE DINNER

In the Pemberton Meadows, the Ryan River moves through open farmland beneath Mount Currie. Hay fields, horses and working farms stretch across the valley, a landscape shaped by generations of farming.

On September 19, as the afternoon light settles over the meadows, we’ll gather at @zaroparanch for the first Friends Of The Farmer.

The ranch will become our table for the evening. We’ll walk through the farm, meet the people behind the land, and sit down together among the fields and horses as the mountains surround us.

At the centre of the table is Chef Javier Blanc, the Madrid-born chef behind @paellaguys and @casamolina . A finalist in the World Paella Day Cup, Javier brings his own story and interpretation of Spanish cuisine to the valley, creating a four-course, family-style menu inspired by Spanish traditions, seasonal ingredients and cooking over fire.

Then, we’ll eat. We’ll drink. We’ll stay awhile.
