Camping & RV Sites in Pemberton
Whether you’re pulling in with a fully equipped RV or pitching a tent beside a rushing river, Pemberton offers a wide range of camping options for all types of outdoor enthusiasts. Surrounded by rivers, forests, and mountain views, Pemberton’s campgrounds provide a natural base for exploring the valley and its endless trails, lakes, and scenic drives.
Please note: Pemberton does not have hook-up RV sites or a sanitation dump. The nearest location for either of these will be in Whistler and Lillooet.
Nairn Falls Provincial Park
Located just minutes from Pemberton, Nairn Falls offers 94 vehicle-accessible campsites nestled among old-growth forest. Set on the banks of the Green River, this peaceful location is connected to One Mile Lake and the Village by walking, biking trails, and is a lovely walk to Nairn Falls.
Season: May–October
Facilities: Pit toilets, water, food cache. Hwy access.
Lillooet Lake Recreation Sites
A series of scenic, rustic campgrounds strung along the shoreline of Lillooet Lake, just south of Pemberton. These BC Recreation Sites are first-come, first-served and provide a truly back-to-nature experience with limited amenities but beautiful lakefront views.
Sites: Strawberry Point, Twin One, Lizzie Bay, Driftwood Bay
Season: April to October
Facilities: Limited. Dirt backroad access.
Birkenhead Lake Provincial Park
Tucked into the mountains northwest of Pemberton, this 91-site park features a stunning alpine lake, perfect for canoeing, fishing, and swimming. A must for campers looking for a true wilderness escape. Access to Birkenhead Lake is via a backcountry dirt road that can be rough on low-riding vehicles. There is no cell service at this location.

Duffey Lake Road Recreation Sites
Nestled between Pemberton and Lillooet, these rustic, first-come, first-served BC Recreation Sites are ideal for adventurous travellers looking to get away from the noise. With basic amenities like fire rings and pit toilets, these sites are suited to self-contained campers.
Sites: Cinnamon, Gott Creek, Cottonwood, Rogers Creek

Facilities: Limited. Hwy access.
Owl Creek Recreation Site
Owl Creek Recreation Site is a forested campground located just north of Mt Currie, offering basic amenities and peaceful riverside camping. With 15 first-come, first-served sites, it’s an ideal base for those seeking a quiet, nature-immersed getaway. Large open sites, good for RV’s and groups.

Facilities: Pit toilets. Dirt backroad access.
Important Note on RV Sanitation Facilities
Pemberton currently does not have a public sani-dump site. Visitors travelling in RVs should plan ahead for waste disposal. The nearest options are:

Visit the links above as some sites require a BC Parks reservation while others are first-come-first-serve. Campground reservations for popular spots like Nairn Falls can book up quickly.

Best time to go to Pemberton: Pemberton is a great camping destination but not always. The best time to go camping in Pemberton is usually between May and September when the weather is warm and chances of precipitation are at the lowest. The worst time to go camping in Pemberton is between December and February when winter is in full swing.
