Pemberton & 2010 Winter Games

The eyes of the world will be focused on British Columbia in 2010 when Vancouver and Whistler host the 2010 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Ideally located just north of the Host Mountain Resort, Pemberton & district offers the perfect home base for your access to 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games events and venues.
The Perfect 2010 Gateway

Just minutes from most venues, Pemberton will be bursting with action and activity in 2010.
And Pemberton & district offers a wide range of outdoor adventure activities and family-friendly recreation for those moments when you’re not cheering on the world’s best.
Our location north of Whistler can provide easier road access to the games.

Transportation
Getting to Pemberton & district is simple, and by June 2009 the Sea to Sky Highway will have been upgraded by a massive, multi-million-dollar improvement project.
Currently, the highway is open and fully accessible with only the occasional short delay or pre-scheduled closure. Once the project is complete, the mountain highway will be straighter, have more passing lanes and enhanced monitoring for winter weather maintenance.
