Slow Food Cycle Sunday is an opportunity to connect — town folk and city folk, consumers with their food, people with the land. The future of food is local!
A celebration of food, farmers, and the joys of biking, Slow Food Cycle Sunday blows the fast-food drive-through away. It is a pedal-powered trip through the natural buffet that is Pemberton Meadows farmland to meet local growers and sample produce fresh from the field.
The World Watch Institute reports that the average food item eaten in North America has traveled 2,500 to 4,000 km from farm to table. Here, the distance between good food and your table is as short as a 50 kilometre / 31 mile bike ride.
Newly added Farmer's Market!!!
For the first time ever the Slow Foods Cycle will include a Farmer's Market located in Pemberton's downtown core. The market will take place from 1PM to 4PM and will include vendors from the Pemberton, Birken and Whistler area. Most of the farm's and vendors will be selling fruit, veggies, baking and snacks.
Participating Farmer's Market vendors

Hey, you don't have to wait until the Slow Food Cycle to check out the Pemberton Farmer's Market! The Pemberton Farmer's Market takes place every Wednesday during the summer months. Other important info
Please let it be known that there is always a chance that farms will run out of food during the event! It's happened in years past and with the event continuing to grow every year it's entirely possible it will happen again. Although it probably won't happen until later in the event if you want to ensure that it doesn’t affect you we encourage you to start your journey up the valley as early as possible. We also encourage people to bring their own food and snacks with them. Don't rely on the farms to feed you exclusively as they typically only sell fresh fruit, veggies and baked goods.
