Canada Day Parade Wide

Celebrate Canada Day in Pemberton with a number of FREE events hosted by the Village of Pemberton. This year's event features Paddling at One Mile Lake, the Canada Day Parade, Spud Run and Canada Day celebrations at the Community Centre. Read up on all the events below.

Saturday, June 27

Paddling at One Mile

When: 8 AM - 9 AM
Where: One Mile Lake

Choose from kayaking, canoeing, dragon boating or paddle boarding during the Paddle Day at One Mile Lake. This is a great chance to try out a new water craft activity by yourself or with others.

Stand-Up Paddleboard Yoga

When: 9 AM - 10 PM
Where: One Mile Lake

Following Paddle Day all you have to do is mosey on down the beach to check out stand-up paddle boarding Yoga at 9 AM. Certified yoga instructor Laura Zgud will lead you in a FREE class, teaching the basics of stand-up paddle board yoga. Make sure to bring your swim suit and towel.

Pajama Shopping

When: All Day

A Pemberton tradition all you have to do for this event is throw on your favorite PJ's and proceed to do your shopping in town.

Sunday, June 28

Dog Competition

When: 2 PM - 5 PM
Where: Pemberton District & Community Centre

Calling all doggy's and owners for the Canada Day Dog Competition. Show up with your puppy at 2PM and take part in this fun and easy dog competition. No prior experience is required, several fun and easy contests will be set up.

Wednesday, July 1 (Canada Day)

Spud Run

When: 8: 30AM Registration
Where: Pemberton District & Community Centre

The Pemberton Spud Run requires participants to run, walk, jog, bike or wheel along the 8.5KM course. This fun event takes place along the Valley Trail and is open to anyone and everyone who wants to stretch their legs. Registration is FREE and begins at 8:30 AM at the Pemberton Community Centre.

Canada Day Parade

When: 11 AM Start
Where: Downtown Pemberton

Grab your best white and red threads and line the streets for the Canada Day parade at 11 AM. The Parade will start near the Pemberton Regional District and wind its way through town until it reaches the Pemberton District and Community Centre lawn. Come out and watch the colourful floats and decorated vehicles as they loop their way through town.

Canada Day Celebrations

When: 12 PM - 3 PM
Where: Pemberton District & Community Centre

Following the parade everyone will meet up on the Pemberton Community Centre lawn for a number of Canada Day festivities. Patrons will have the chance to check out the Canada Day Market, featuring local businesses and food vendors. The mayor will also make a quick speech followed by the cutting of the Canada Day cake and live music.
