Date: Sunday, August 21, 2011
Time: 8 a.m. Registration Starts - Farms Close at 4 p.m.
Location: Pemberton Meadows Rd. - Pemberton Valley
Slow Food Cycle Sunday has become huge, with approximately 3,000 riders touring the farms and experience the food of Pemberton Valley, British Columbia.
This agritourism event is well know throughout the Sea to Sky corridor and boasts to 'Blow the fast food competition away'. Join our community again this coming August 21 for another great ride!
A Flat 50 Kilometre Paved Route
The full ride up and down the Pemberton Meadows Road is approximately 50 kilometres (or 31 miles) but you can turn back any time. The road is flat and paved although some farm lanes may be part dirt and / or gravel.
What to Bring?
Be sure to bring a helmet, food and water. Packing along some sunscreen, sunglasses is also a good ideal. If you have cycling shorts and gloves wear them too. There are food stands and various items along the way but they sometimes sell out. Panniers or bike baskets are very helpful if you make some purchases along the way. And finally bringing along some cash to complete those purchases works wonders as well!
