Pemberton Camping

Camping Season is Approaching

It's early days, but Pemberton camping season is just around the corner. Whether you're looking into provincial campgrounds, or something more rustic, we've got lots to explore.

There are so many places to go camping around Pemberton, including provincial campgrounds. We're just entering the spring season, and that's often the time, as the sun begins to warm us and we take off our heavy winter jackets, that we begin to make summer plans.

If you're like many people, then, it's time to start to think about summer camping. The annual Pemberton Music Festival is coming back again to Pemberton in July this year, which will bring many people to Pemberton for the first time. We expect that many of these visitors will be back again and again to enjoy the scenery and take part in all the we have to offer: biking, hiking, cycling, horseback riding and so much more.

Provincial Campgrounds Near Pemberton

Both Nairn Falls and Birkenhead Lake (pictured, above) are provincial campgrounds with lots of spaces for car camping. Both are also particularly beautiful and each has its own personality and style. You'll definitely find Nairn Falls to be worth the short hike in, as many Trip Advisor Reviewers have noted.

Birkenhead Provincial Park is a bit farther afield. According to a Trip Advisor review, the drive in is a bit rough, but once there, the lake is clear and the fishing is good.

Other provincial parks in the area include Duffy Lake and Joffre Lakes provincial parks. One review of Duffy Lake exclaims "OMG This is real!!!" which is pretty accurate. Joffre Lakes has nearly 70 reviews and is listed as the number 1 thing to do in Pemberton. That says everything.

Camping Season Starts Soon

The official camping season begins May 15, but campgrounds may be used before that time. For example, Nairn Falls may be used in the off-season if you walk in. There will be no fees, but there are also no services.

Start thinking about your camping plans now in order to ensure you have the best summer vacation possible in Pemberton.
