Halloween in Pemberton — What to See & Where to Go
Halloween in Pemberton takes you back to the "good old days" — simple and fun. Halloween here revolves around — you guessed it — our agricultural heritage. You won't find the raging costume parties going all night long as happens in Whistler (though if you want them, they're only 20 minutes away!) but you will have lots of choice in good-old-fashioned-fun.
Trick-or-Treat in the Glen
If you have kids, the Glen is the neighbourhood to Trick or Treat in. You'll find yourself immersed in a full-on neighbourhood celebration, with most if not all of the houses participating. Don a costume, collect your kids, grab a bag and head on out to this very family-friendly neighbourhood.
Visit the Pemberton Museum
On the afternoon of Halloween, visit Pemberton Museum for a dose of heritage and fun. The Museum will be open from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, with lots of great activities for adults and kids alike.
Make sure to bring your decorated Jack O' Lantern for the Jack O' Lantern contest. The display will not only decorate the museum but will also be a fun contest! You'll be able to win prizes as well as look all the other decorated pumpkins.
Be sure to take part in all the fun at the museum. There will be a marshmallow and hot dog roast as well as hot chocolate, coffee and tea. And, to really explore and celebrate the Pemberton heritage, visit the spooky school house.
Guess the Weight of the Pumpkin!
The annual Pemberton Valley Lodge "Guess the Weight of the Pumpkin" contest is on! From now until Halloween, stop by the lobby of the Pemberton Valley Lodge and take a gander at the large pumpkin on display.
If you can't make it into the Lodge, visit the Facebook page and make your guess based on the photograph. For tips on how to guess the weight of a pumpkin, read the blog post over on the Pemberton Valley Lodge website and learn!
