As of June, 21st it became official that beer, wine, cider and spirits could be sold alongside veggies and berries at local farmers markets. This is especially cool news for our local spirits provider Pemberton Distillery as they have a brand new venue to sell their products.
In fact The Pemberton Distillery was the first liquor producer to get approved by the BC government to sell craft liquor at the farmers' markets in the province. Last week marked the first week the distillery set up shop at the market in what should continue to be a weekly occurrence. It also seems our small community was one of if not the first place in B.C to sell spirits at a Farmer's Market.
Make sure to check out the Pemberton Distillery at this week’s Farmer’s Market on Wednesday from 4PM to 7PM....
