Strawberry Picking

It's that special time of the year again... Strawberry picking time!! The Pemberton strawberry picking season is upon us. Over the next month several of Pemberton's local farms will open their fields up for the U-pick and pre-pick strawberry season.

Anyone who's ever had fresh strawberries from the Pemberton Valley knows there's no comparison when it comes to quality and taste compared to store bought. Be warned though Pemberton strawberry picking season generally lasts less than a month, so it's best to hit the farms early and often.

Two farms will be offering U-pick and ready-pick strawberries this season, North Arm Farm & Camel's Back Harvest. Read up on each farm below.

fresh strawberries from North Arm Farm

North Arm Farm

Family owned and operated since 1995 North Arm Farm is home to 45 acres of fresh vegetables, fruits and farm animals. North Arm Farm is currently open for strawberry season with the main patches set to be opened on Thursday, June 19th. The farm is hoping strawberry season will remain open for another 3 to 4 weeks.

North Arm Farm is located 7 minutes down the road from Pemberton towards the town of Mount Currie. The farm can be found on the right side of the road. Signs and a large North Arm Farm archway ensure you can't miss it when driving by.

U-pick | $2.50/lb

Ready-pick | $4.50/lb

Open 7 day a week from 9AM to 6PM

Camel Back Farm

Look how healthy those fields are looking at Camel Back Harvest

Camel Back Harvest

New kids on the block Camel Back Harvest (when it comes to strawberry growing that is) have recently thrown their hat into the strawberry growing ring last season. As you can see from the picture above their fields are looking lush and almost ready to go! Camel Back is hoping to kick off their strawberry picking season this Saturday, June 28th.

Camel Back Harvest is located about 25KM down the Pemberton Meadows Road just past the Hurley Bridge. Basically head up the Pemberton Meadows without turning for 25 minutes until you see a sign for the Camel Back Harvest.
