Snowmobiling in the Pemberton Valley

Snowmobiling in Pemberton BC Canada

Winter activities in the Pemberton area include alpine skiing, ice fishing, cross country skiing and snowmobiling. Pemberton has some of the best snowmobiling in western Canada, and, by extension, all of North America. The Pemberton Ice Fields and the Pemberton Glacier are both incredible spaces for snowmobilers ride through tracts of ice and snow, gain access to the Pemberton Ice Caves, and see some of the most gorgeous panoramic views imaginable.

We're very lucky here to have a Snowmobile Club to support snowmobiling in the area so strongly. She Shreds Adventures is hosting a fundraiser on February 9, the day before BC Family Day, to support our local club. The day is going to be a lot of fun, with a barbecue, sled rides, and much more going on. Definitely a great family event, and a perfect way to celebrate BC Family Day if you are in Pemberton. The event will take place at Big Sky Golf and Country Club, from 11:00 to 4:00 pm.

The Pemberton Valley Snowmobile Club is a volunteer run organization which helps to maintain the parking lot, trail and first aid cabin which leads to the Pemberton Icefield.

Snowmobiling for the Entire Family

Snowmobiling can be a fun way to spend the day with your family. If you want to try snowmobiling while in Pemberton with your family, Canadian Wilderness Adventures offers 3 hour packages which can be affordable for a family with 2 adults and 2 children. Kids 6 years old to 12 years old ride for free with a paying adult, making the trip approximately $20 per hour per person.

Pemberton Featured on SnowTrax Television

In 2010, Pemberton was featured on SnowTrax Television, the most watched snowmobile television series in North America, effectively reaching about 72 million people through TSN in Canada and the Outdoor Network in the United States. To have our village featured on this television show says something about the terrain we provide for snowmobiling. Take a look at the video, and see what you think of the riding. You won't believe it!

Snowmobiling This Winter

This winter we are having a great time snowmobiling in the Pemberton area. True, we have been experiencing a milder winter than we are used to, and it is not uncommon to see people out on their mountain bikes instead of out skiing, but there is still epic snowmobiling once you get out the Hurley Forest Service Road and step into that paradise we call the Pemberton Ice Cap. Take a break and make it up to Pemberton this BC Family Day for a little snowmobile fun.
