What an amazing day! The Slow Food Cycle Sunday which was held on August 21st was the best event yet.
Over 4,000 Riders
There were over 4,000 riders which blew away the event organizers, who were delighted yet surprised by the huge turnout. The weather was perfect for the day - sun, a little cloud and not too hot. The next day was a very rainy Monday, so a perfect day to rest though tired legs.
All the vendors did an amazing job and each stop on the cycle was unique and had something different to offer. The day went smoothly with help from a great group of volunteers and also Pemberton Search and Rescue who helped keep all the riders safe on the road.
Augustfest ... A Success!
The Augustfest beer garden and BBQ held in Pioneer Park after the Slow Food Cycle was a huge success. Tired riders relaxed in the sun with a cold beer, delicious sangria and a Pemberton Bratwurst sausage – delicious. The live music was great and the children enjoyed the entertainment including a bouncy castle. Thanks goes to The Rotary Club of Pemberton for hosting a great afternoon.
We would like to share this adorable photo which sums up what a great day everyone had on Slow Food Cycle Sunday!
