Pemberton Winterfest

Pemberton Winterfest

Come and celebrate the spirit of winter in the Coast Mountains, home to the 2010 Winter Olympic Games, and the fastest growing community in BC, The Pemberton Valley Winterfest is the ultimate showcase of mountain culture in the west.

During two weeks in February, music, arts and sports are your ticket to explore a region that feeds Whistler its farm-fresh bounty, inspires the New York Times to name it the epicenter of sled-skiing in North America, and is part of the Squamish Lillooet Regional District, renowned for having the largest concentration of working artists in the province.

Once upon a time, Pemberton was the last frontier to gold country, and it still attracts the type of people who want to explore, adventure, and play in a world with no limits. Not to mention, discover the wealth of white gold. Winterfest brings it all together.

An Annual Multi-Cultural Celebration

Winterfest engages the community in a vibrant atmosphere during this unique small town multi-cultural celebration. Down-home hospitality, great entertainment and the chance to kick up one's heels and celebrate winter combine over two weeks for a family-friendly festival you won't want to miss. Experience unique art exhibitions and shows, dance all day and night at our famous Street Party, stop by the Artisans Exhibit or listen to Vignettes written by local writers, taste some of the best West Coast cuisine or plunge in ice cold water.  Just be part of the fun.

Showcasing the Best of Pemberton

Taking place at different venues throughout the Valley, Winterfest combines free, ticketed, and pay-as-you-can events, workshops and performances, to showcase the best of Pemberton. Abounding with natural beauty, rural Pemberton is the Gateway to the Backcountry.

Nestled in the spectacular Coast Mountains, Pemberton blends grand views with a small-town friendly vibe.  With a diverse heritage and incredible stories to share with residents and visitors from around the world, Pemberton invites the world to join us, and experience its Winterfest.  Located at the foot of majestic Mt Currie, Pemberton is a spectacular 20-minute drive north of Whistler Blackcomb Resort, just 2 hours north of Vancouver.
